Fika Stamford
If you're strolling through Stamford’s High Street and craving a spot that balances warm, Scandi-inspired charm with hearty, flavorful plates, Fika Stamford is the place you’ll want to pause. Tucked at 32 High St, this cozy café doesn’t just serve food-it delivers a whole vibe. Whether you’re looking for a power breakfast, a vegan pick-me-up, or simply a serene space to catch up on emails with a cup of oat milk latte, Fika checks all the boxes.
The name "Fika" itself gives a nod to the Swedish concept of taking a mindful coffee break, and this café captures that spirit beautifully. With its minimalistic décor, soft lighting, and friendly atmosphere, Fika Stamford feels like a relaxing pit stop in the middle of your day. And yes-it’s particularly loved by solo diners and laptop warriors alike, making it a local go-to for both leisure and remote work.
One thing that sets this spot apart is its breakfast game. Think beyond the classic English breakfast-though they do that, and they do it well. Their Poached Egg with Pulled Pork Special is where comfort meets creativity. The dish pairs tender, slow-cooked pork with perfectly poached eggs atop a toasted base, elevating brunch to a whole new level. And if you’re more on the sweet side of things, the Chocolate Orange Pancakes or the Lemon and Blueberry Pancake Special is basically dessert disguised as breakfast (and we’re not complaining).
Coffee lovers are in for a treat here. Fika is widely praised for its Oat Milk Latte and an impressive line-up of Superfood Lattes. Not only do they offer a velvety Luxury Hot Chocolate for cold mornings, but also a Green Goddess Smoothie for days when you’re chasing clean energy. Their Cappuccino hits all the right notes-smooth, rich, and strong enough to spark creativity if you're working from your laptop.
But let’s talk about diversity. Fika’s menu is one of those rare ones that doesn’t force vegetarians and vegans to settle. Their Vegan Breakfast isn’t a side-thought-it’s a full, balanced plate that leaves you feeling satisfied. Add to that their rotating specials like Korean Pork and Shakshuka, and you’ll find that even regulars always have something new to look forward to.
Not in the mood for a big meal? No problem. Their small plates and quick bites-like Patatas Bravas or French Toast Soldiers-are great for a light lunch or afternoon snack. And if you’re just there for the drink-and-dessert combo, you’re in for a treat. Their Cinnamon Buns are pillowy soft and perfectly spiced, a perfect match with one of their hot chocolate latte teas.
Accessibility-wise, Fika Stamford is designed to be inclusive, with both a wheelchair-accessible entrance and toilet. While it doesn’t have a designated wheelchair-accessible car park, once inside, the layout makes it easy to move around. Outdoor seating adds another layer of charm, especially when the sun’s out and you're sipping wine or enjoying a mid-day smoothie.
Speaking of wine, yes-they serve alcohol too. That means you can wind down your afternoon with a glass of wine or kick off the weekend with a cheeky drink and some brunch bites. It’s not every day you find a breakfast café that effortlessly merges brunch classics, superfood options, dessert heaven, and a wine list.
Another underrated aspect? Fika’s vibe makes it great for solo dining. You won’t feel out of place sitting with your laptop, sipping on a Hot Chocolate, and digging into a Breakfast Burrito. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is welcoming without being overbearing.
If you're looking for a place that caters to dietary preferences without sacrificing taste, has a killer brunch lineup, and serves coffee that rivals any artisan roastery-Fika Stamford is calling your name. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, there’s always something comforting and a little bit surprising waiting on the menu.

Lovely staff and incredible unique food. Everybody must try this place for breakfast/brunch it is so worth it! I need to go back as I want to try everything on their menu 10/10
THE BEST place in town. My husband & I (& our neighbours dog Shala) visit daily. Not only is the food excellent the staff are wonderful. Special thanks to Lily, Lucy, Maisie, Amy, Sophie and all the front house & kitchen team (Sam & Rosie) for such great service and hospitality. Super comfy place to go, warm, welcoming and friendly. In spite of Fika being so popular - when busy the service is still second to none. Thank you to owners Tia & Evo for opening up in Stamford and also thank you to their amazing Mum Paulina for the delicious homemade cakes & pastries. See you tomorrow! Best Wishes Anna Wing
Delicious, very very nice food. Seated upstairs, nice area with long table for larger parties. Toilet upstairs, unsure of whether there is one downstairs and didn’t see any baby changing. Food was fantastic, tasted very fresh and full of flavour. Takes American Express.
Didn't look much from the outside but recommended by friends. Inside simple tables. Lovely plants above the serving area. Friendly, helpful staff. Food was divine. Accommodated my requests for changes to the breakfast with no fuss. The smoothie was delicious, fresh and could really taste the flavours of the fruit.
Great atmosphere/vibe, no wait to order and to be seated, with coffee excellent and food exceptional - went with the chilli eggs, perfect combination of breakfast and spice. Service was brilliant.
